About Mar Gonzalez

 

Mar has been dancing since she was in her mother's belly. As a young girl in her native Spain, she trained in many different dance styles. At the age of 13, she discovered her passion, bellydance. Five years later, she moved to Barcelona to study fashion design and tribal fusion bellydance with Noemí Castell (pioneer of Tribal Fusion in Spain). She has been training with many international teachers such as Samantha Emanuel (UK), Ashley Lopez (USA), Illan Riviera (FR), Tjarda (NL). 

 

Mar actively fuses all kinds of dance. During the last five years, she travels between India and Europe, teaching and performing. She continuously broadens her education in yoga, odissi (indian classical dance), contemporary, flamenco, acroyoga and contact improvisation dance.

 

In 2014 she founded 'Amber Tara', her new International Tribal Fusion Dance Troupe Project based in Goa (India). The other professional dancers are: Lia Pavlidis (GER) Roberta Beakbane (SCT)  Yana Yamana (RU) & Anna Trish (RU). This multidisiplinary group of 5 girls brings an eclectic influence which creates a full flavoured, dynamic and totally unique show.
